About the Talk:
Whether you love them or not, Cozy Games have been on the rise over the past few years, and chances are you’ve come across the term at some point. Farming games in particular seem to be sprouting on the Steam store like carrots in a field (pun intended). But what exactly makes a game or illustration cozy? And is there a „Cozy Aesthetic“? Let’s dive in and find out.

About the Speaker:
Nadja is a 2D game artist, concept artist, and illustrator based in Hamburg. She currently works at the German indie game studio Studio Fizbin. Previously, she was one of the original team members working on the game Wild Woods, which recently launched in Early Access.
In addition to her professional work, Nadja is also a lecturer in Game Art for the Games Master program at HAW Hamburg. Having been fond of Cozy Games from an early age, even before the term itself even existed, she wrote her Master’s thesis on the topic and continues to speak about them at different occasions.
